Dress Code

All school attire shall be neat, clean, and reflect an appearance of modesty.

Clothing with holes or rips is not permitted.

Apparel shall not be tight fitting, sheer, brief, low-cut, or revealing above or below the waist (low hanging pants) as to be embarrassing or indecent.

Tank tops, half shirts, tube tops or large open arm holes, are not permitted, nor are articles of clothing intended to be worn as undergarments (such as pajamas, etc.).

Shorts of modest length may be worn although miniskirts are not permitted.. Shorts, skirts and dresses must be no more than 5” above the knee.

Outdoor jackets and any types of headdress (including hats, scarves, or bandannas) are strictly prohibited, and are not to be worn in school. These may be stored on coat racks or in cubbies.

Beach/shower type footwear is not permissible. (No flip flops)

Graphics that are suggestively obscene or offensive on any garment are prohibited (e.g. alcohol, drugs, obscenities, or words with double meaning).

Non-prescription sunglasses, glazed and/or tinted glasses are not to be worn in the school.

Students will not be permitted to attend school functions (field trips, dances, and activities during or after school hours) unless properly attired.

Physical Education attire-sneakers or soft soled shoes must be worn. Zippered pants are not recommended, due to potential zipper injuries.

Students are encouraged not to wear expensive jewelry to school.

Students should maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance at all times.

In all cases where a student’s appearance is questionable, the Administration will evaluate and make the final decision.
