News

Please check your child's folder and assignment pad each evening to see what assignments they need to complete. Also, be sure to sign and return Friday Envelopes. Keep up to Date - Look for the "Here's the Scoop" notice every Friday!

Reading

Fourth graders will be introduced to a new reading series this year. The new textbooks feature exciting stories, comprehension and vocabulary building activities, reinforcement of grammar skills, and challenging spelling words. Students will be responsible for taking weekly tests to assess their newly learned skills.

Math

In addition to the many new math skills your child will learn, continue to help them master their multiplication and division facts.

Social Studies

This year students will be studying all about New Jersey. Fourth graders will be learning map skills and studying the earth. From there, they will learn the counties, about the early Lenape that once inhabited our lands, and many other interesting facts about our history-rich state.

Science

Students will study four main topics this year: matter, living things, magnetism and electricity, and weather and climate. In addition to studying these topics, students will also be participating in our 4^th grade Science Fair. More details will come as the fair nears.
