Important School News

Dear Springfield Elementary School Community,

The 2016-2017 school year is filled with the promise of continuing a tradition of high-quality instruction, dedicated staff, supportive community members, and above all a focus on whole child education.  At Springfield Elementary we embrace a welcoming and nurturing environment that supports our students' academic, physical, social and emotional needs through a variety of programs and initiatives.  Among many other instructional highlights, during the course of this school year our students will continue to receive targeted instruction through our reading and writing workshop model, embrace hands-on science explorations, engage with one-to-one instructional technology, and experience opportunities with visual and performing arts.  With a new music enrichment program for our students in grades four through six, a Reading Recovery Program at the primary level, and the second year of our Springfield Superhero Character Education Program we are prepared to meet a wide range of needs across the district.  Oh and our cafeteria serves up a mighty fine grilled cheese.
Thank you for visiting our district website and for your continued support of our educational endeavors.
