If you are a certified teacher (has a teaching certificate) and would like to substitute for Springfield Township School you would need to contact the school and bring in with you your teaching certificate (so the school can make a copy), fill out a Springfield Township Substitute Application, W-4 form, Fingerprint Information sheet (a check or money order in the amount of $63.00 is required) unless you have a verification letter from the State that fingerprinting has been done within the last two (2) years. Once this information is gathered together your name would be placed on the Springfield Township Board of Education meeting to be approved. Once approved a copy of a documented TB Mantoux test results within the previous six (6) months, or if a test has been done for a public school in the state of New Jersey, a copy of those results can be accepted. The rate of pay for a substitute teacher is $60.00 a day.

If you have 60 college credits or more and would like to become a substitute teacher, you would need to come to the main office and fill out a Springfield Township Substitute application, W-4 form, Oath of Allegiance, County Substitute Certificate application, (a money order for $50.00 made payable to the "Commissioner of Education", (if you have a Substitute Certificate (we need to make a copy of it), Fingerprint information form (a money order for $63.00 is required) unless you have a verification letter from the State that fingerprinting has been done within the last two (2) years, Official College transcript. Once this information is gathered together your name would be placed on the Springfield Township Board of Education meeting to be approved. Once approved a copy of a documented TB Mantoux test results within the previous six (6) months, or if a test has been done for a public school in the state of New Jersey, a copy of those results can be accepted. The rate of pay for a substitute teacher is $60.00 a day.

There is a real need for substitute Educational Assistants, Cafeteria, Playground Aide. If you are interested the following needs to be completed prior to the Board of Education approval:

A District Application, W-4 Form, Fingerprint form needs to be completed.
