• The Basic Skills Intervention Program

    schoolboy

The Basic Skills program offers a small group instruction class for students in K through 6th grade. This program does not replace the students’ reading and math classes. It is a supplemental class that supports the needs of individual students, in addition to the instruction they receive in their classrooms.

Students are referred to the program through multiple measures and assessments. Students can move into or out of the program throughout the school year, based on individual progress.   Students’ progress will be shared with the homeroom teacher and with the parents through a trimester report.

The goal of the BSI Program is to help individual students gain a strong foundation for learning based on grade level requirements and common core standards.

I am happy to be working with the students of Springfield Township School.
