WOW…time flies when you're having fun! This will be my 17th year teaching but I've been working in education for over 25 years.  I'm going into my 14th year at Springfield. I also taught (full-day) kindergarten in another district for 3 years. Prior to teaching, I was a paraprofessional for over ten years, which inspired me to earn my teaching degree.

I absolutely LOVE teaching kindergarten! I find that children grow so much academically and socially throughout the school year. I believe that it is very important that children feel safe, comfortable, and care for and help one another. I enjoy helping them become independent thinkers and learners, as we build a "friendly" community together.

In addition to being a teacher, I am a wife and mother of two (who are now both married).  I enjoy going to the mountains with my family and spending time out on our boat on the lake. Most importantly, I am happy to say that I am a proud "Grammy" to two granddaughters and two grandsons. Whoo hoo!   

I am looking forward to another wonderful year teaching Kindergarten in Springfield!
