    • Mini-lesson- The teacher introduces the teaching point of the day.
    • Independent Reading- Students have time to self-select books on their reading level to apply skills and strategies that have been taught. We begin the year building stamina to work our way up to 30 minutes of independent reading.
    • Guided Reading and Strategy Groups-During these times students will be pulled in small groups based on their reading level to help guide them to progress in reading strategies for their independent reading.
    • Conferences- The teacher meets individually with each student to assess and instruct a reader on a specific teaching point to meet their needs.

    • Small Group Instruction- Teacher and students meet to discussion teaching points
    • Conferences- The teacher meets with the student one-on-one to discuss ways to improve and make writing better.

    • Interactive Learning Video- The teacher shows the video to help guide the students learning and teaching point for the day.
    • Mini-Lesson- The teacher models the lesson with a hands-on activity.
    • Guided Math-The students get an opportunity to rotate stations to work on the concept and complete problems to assess knowledge. Math with the Teacher, Math with Technology, Math Journal, Math by Myself, and Buddy Math.
